Which City Temporarily Changed Its Name To Promote A Video Game?
In 1998, two years after its introduction in Japan, Pokémon came to America. The first stop on Nintendo’s national promotion tour? Topeka, Kansas which, in honor of the event, changed its name for the day to ToPikachu, Kansas.
