On January 12, 2017, the official nickname for people from the state of Indiana was changed at the federal level from “Indianans” to “Hoosiers”, marking the first time the officially recognized name for a state’s citizens (or demonym) wasn’t based on the name of the state.

Happy Thursday! Google revealed its plans to merge its two main services for video and audio calls, Google Duo and Google Meet, into a single combined Google Meet app. The change is happening just six years after the company split its unified messaging service Hangouts into multiple apps and services, some of which are now long gone (like Allo).
