How-To Geek

Pseudocode refers to the use of natural language (instead of programming language) to create a detailed outline of what a particular program or algorithm is supposed to do, just like creating a detailed outline for a major paper or report.

Once the detailed outline is complete, designers and programmers can review the outline, then make modifications as needed to ensure that the actual program created will match the design specifications as closely as possible.

After the Pseudocode has cleared the ‘inspection’ hurdle, work with the programming language of choice can begin.
