Your Mac will soon let you know when any app asks to use your camera, microphone, or other features.

The new security feature, coming later this year with macOS 10.14 Mojave, extends dialogue boxes that previously came up when an app wanted to access your Contacts, Location, or Calendar.

A lot of malware takes control of the camera and microphone, which is creepy. Hopefully these popups will stop that from happening. Other things protected include your Time Machine backups and your location history.
