On my power menu Sleep option gone grey.
Red through some posts, done this:
1. went to power options but there's no access to change parameters for sleeping options. Just missing.
2. went to START, Command Prompt and typed "powercfg -h on" which gave me this message: "The following items are preventing hibernation on this system.
There are one or more legacy drivers instulled: VgaSave
An internal system component has disabled hibernation."
Any advice how should I proceed on to solve that issue?

Open control panel and goto Power Options > change Plan settings > Advanced Power Settings
+Sleep
Allow hybrid Sleep > disabled
Allow wake timers > disable/enable try both settings
+USB
USB selective suspend > ENABLE
+When Shareing media [ This is the critical one ]

Set to allow the computer to sleep

Why would ENABLING USB Controller to shut down to save energy not exacerbate the issue ??

Thank you Rick!
Thanks to your link problem solved. The problem was with my display adapter. I updated the related driver, and after restarting my computer sleeping and hibernating modes were back on my power options menu.

Thanks, Jack
