Good morning, evening, noon, night... people with more geek-skils than me!

My roomie passed me her laptop with windows 7, which isn't booting.
The laptop goes through the motion of screens, but stops at the windows-screen. It goes blank, with only the mouse cursor on screen.
Ctrl + Alt + Del does nothing, nor any other combination. Only holding the power button triggers an effect - switching it off.
Noteworthy to mention as far as she is concerned, nothing happened between last working order and now, no installs, deletes or changes. Only surfing and word/pdf/fotoviewer.

I already found some leads using my own abilities + internet.
Yet while I still have to find an solution, which I do hope you can help me with, I got an ntbtlog.txt that should help.
If someone could help me, her out, that would be awesome. Her retailer won't give support (obviously).

With kind regards, and many thanks in advance,
Mno

If all went well, you can view the complete file here: http://www.4shared.com/documen.....btlog.html
I felt it would lag the server and download times for this site.

Looks like your installation of Windows is corrupted. I suggest throwing the Windows installation disk in and trying to do a system repair. If the repair doesn't get you anywhere it might be time to reinstall Windows from scratch.

Ow, I forgot one thing worth mentioning:
The laptop does boot in safe mode.

Will ask her for the windows install disk.

Thanks for the respons :)
Will solved this if I either reinstall windows, or someone says that safe mode makes a difference :P
Cheers

System restore from safe mode as far back as you can.

After you try the system restore and if that doesn't correct the problem try booting in safe mode again and look in device manager.
Do you see any devices ( wireless ) with the old yellow exclamation next to it, if so disable them and try a normal reboot.
You will have to reinstall the bad drivers
