Hey everyone,

This seems to be the only category I could put this in and it still seems out of place. I recently bought a Palm Z22 PDA, and I'm new to Palm in general.

Are icons and everything else supposed to make a little noise when selected? It's not really a beep, and it's not really a click. In fact, it's not an "attractive" noise at all (if that makes any sense?). I'm guessing that it's SUPPOSED to make that noise since any time I touch ANYTHING it does it... I just want to reassure myself. Do all Palms make these quasi-beeping noises?

I'm still using an old Psion 3a and that has the option to turn off the beeps. Maybe yours does too! Look in something like configure or settings

I'm not sure if it works on the newer Palm Handhelds but this how to change that on mine:
1. In the launcher select System in the top right category menu.
2. Tap Prefs.
3. Select General in the top right category menu if it's not selected already.
4. Tap the box by "System Sound" and tap off.

To answer your other question yes, all Palm Handhelds with Palm OS make a sound when you tap on something by default.
