I'm using FIOS and they're Router Parental controls on the router don't work. Not all devices are listed and then they tell me ALL devices have to be connected at the same time to create a rule. This just doesn't work when you have kids using ipod, iPads, netbooks, cell phones through WiFi...

Anyway, I've searched the web and can't find any router level usage control tools that will let me block certain sites at certain times.

Is there an easy way to add a second router in-front of the FIOS router that has better parental controls or is there router level usage control software better then what FIOS is offering?

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you can give me.

fitfo1, what router did FIOS provide?

You may be able to request a more advanced router (if available) that has a content filtering feature. Not sure if this will affect your current monthly price.

You might want to call FIOS first. Almost if not all routers nowadays have this feature out of the box at fair prices, should you buy your own router.
