YOU MAY BE A REDNECK IF:

A LITTLE RAIN DOESN'T SPOIL THE FISHING

YOU NEED FASHION TIPS FROM YOUR HUSBAND

YOU WEAR A SHIRT LIKE THIS FOR YOUR ENGAGEMENT PICTURE

YOUR WEDDING CAKE LOOKED LIKE THIS

YOUR DOGHOUSE LOOKS LIKE THIS

YOUR PICKUP LOOKS LIKE THIS

YOU HAVE A DEER **** (BOTTOM!) FOR A DOOR BELL

YOU DON'T NEED A LAKE TO DO A LITTLE SKIING

YOUR WIFE IS QUOTED IN THE PAPER SAYING

I like the yacht, but that must be in Europe. The trailer looks like an old Swedish make (I think the make is (was) Kabe).

What would you like to be called? Anglo-Saxons - that sounds germanic! BTW: That is one way we call you in German (Angelsachsen).

We are a bit more mixed up than Anglo-Saxons these days. "English" is good.

OK - "English" is fair. Is "Brits" pejorative?

How about Ucks? That's how I would pronounce UK, and it's all inclusive. What do you like: Britons? British? Britanians? Anglicans? Englanders (assuming you were born in England)? Give us a clue!

Come on, help out this poor American, Yankee, Colonist, Septic.

I would never call an American a Yank. (I think that's an insult)
I was born in London
Therefore I am English
My (traceable) family tree goes back to the 15 hundreds. All English (southern)
The word "Brits", to me, is as whs says.

whs, not a problem. But I wouldn't advise calling someone from Scotland, Ireland, or Wales, a Brit. You'd likely get a punch on the nose.
Us English are a bit more tolerant. (LH hides under the table at this point)
Edit. and I'm sure you would not like me to refer to you as a Hun or a Kraut.

I think you are now starting a different discussion. But let's not open that one. But as far as the Scottish and the Welsh go, are they not part of Great Britain? The Irish is different - I guess they are Irish.

The Scots and the Welsh class themselves as Scottish and Welsh. More so, now that they have their own parliaments.

Edit. Everyone can have a good laugh now, because the English can also be known as Red Necks.

No, the Red-COATS.
One if by land...

And I'd never be offended by 'Yanks'. Then again, we in the North are proud of our revolutionary heroics ;)

Thankyou ScottW, I was sure that calling every American a yank was offensive. But then again, you're a Texan, not an American.

Ok Lighthouse you asked for it and I'll be cool.I can't speak for the Welsh, although I'm sure they prefer to be called Welsh. Being raised Scottish/Irish,I can say with certainty to not call either parent a Brit or British. My mom was raised in Glasgow and is a firm believer in home rule. Now my dad is from Leitrim(The West Of Ireland)and he'd probably rip anyones head off if he was called British.Technically,Scotland,England,Wales and Northern Ireland are the British Isles. And I don't mind being called a yank even though I was born in Missouri.

Thanks for that sparky. I lived in SW Wales for 10 years, and they definitely do not like being called British.

Right, well those videos just show that the British/English/whatever-they-wish-to-be-called are quite mad. So, what's new?

Of course, we have plenty of crazies here in the US. Consider that Johnny Knoxville and his fellow Jacka$$es got their own TV show, then 2 movies (that I know of).

There is a sport more dangerous, and stupid, then shin kicking and cheese rolling put together. It's called Roshambo and I couldn't find a "clean" link to post in this family forum. Search at YouTube or Google it up. And, no I'm not talking about that silly rock-paper-scissors business. You will know the Roshambo that I'm referring to when you see it, or if you watch South Park.

Aleeve, hop in your wayback machine and check out episode 1x12, "Mecha-Streisand". The roshambo happens right at the beginning, around time index 00:50. All of the episodes are available on Comedy Central's website, but I suspect you won't be able to play them outside the US. In hopes that it may be otherwise, I present here the link:

Is that Tweek in your avatar? The hair is right, but I've never seen him with a cool jacket or an Ipod. I used the avatar creator at Comedy Central to make a South Park Geek ->
