How do I get rid of start.funmoods.com? I downloaded by mistake.

Thanks!

Because it changes the Registry, the only way to fix the machine is to Clean Install.

I hope I'm wrong about this but have researched the net.

Have you ever done a Clean Install Before ????

Download the free version of this : http://www.superantispyware.com/index.html

Update and run Full scan.

Take note of what it picks up.

After the scan check the internet settings in your browser, make sure PROXY is unchecked.

This looks like a viable thing to try. I would do it in Safe Mode with networking so you could do the reinstall in safe mode as well.

What's happening now ???

Super AntiSpyware is removing over 1,000 threats, done of which are in the registry. I was able to change the Default search engine in Google Chrome from Fun Moods back to Google search. The two links you gave me above did not lead to anything useful. Uninstalling and installing in safe mode makes me nervous; never worked in safe mode before.

Safe mode is no big deal. By it's very name it is Safe!

Boot to Safe Mode with Networking
When you boot up before it starts Windows and after the initial BIOS checks, hit the F8 key several times. The start of Windows is usually accompanied by a single Beep. If normal Windows comes up try, try again. A Black screen with choices should come up, choose Safe Mode with Networking.

Once there simply go to Programs and features and remove Google Chrome. Then get on-line via IE to Google Chrome and install it.

Reboot.

Okay, I followed your instructions, but I could not get on line via IE while still in Safe Mode, there was not internet connection. I reinstalled Google Chrome when I rebooted. How do I know if I was successful in banishing all traces of Fun Moods?

If it is not now there then I would assume it's gone.

Sorry, I forgot to say to choose Safe Mode with Networking. (Changed it.)
