Can't Find Files I Save to Desktop

1.)I'm saving a doc files in my desktop but after saving and trying to look for it, files not there. I save it again and it prompted if i want to replace the file or not, i did replace and try to search it again but the files is isn't there.

2.)How to automatically save the extension file after saving it. For example if its word, it shows example.doc after saving.

I'm using win7.

Help Please.

hi teoalan, Try using the search function to locate your missing file. You can also go into C:\Users\user account\desktop. Your file shoul dbe there or a shortcut for it.
