Zach Laidlaw
Zach Laidlaw is the Sponsored Content Manager, Cloud Gaming Writer, and HTG Deals Wrangler for How-To Geek. He is responsible for satisfying LifeSavvy’s family of sponsored partners, as well as covering major developments in the cloud gaming space and rounding up the best deals in our weekly newsletter.
Experience
Zach has worked in the marketing industry for seven years. He kicked off his journey as a Digital Marketing Specialist at a credit union, then a Brand Manager for a digital marketing agency, and finally a Sponsored Content Manager for multiple tech media sites.
Beyond the realm of marketing, Zach is an avid mobile tech enthusiast. He once worked as a Samsung Sales Expert where he professed the benefits of Samsung’s products to the masses, and he served as a Mobile Technician and macOS instructor at an Apple Store where he repaired glitchy phones and taught customers how to use their Mac computers through interactive seminars. Today, Zach prefers to use Apple devices (iPhone, Mac, Watch, iPad, and TV), but he’s been known to tinker with Android (Pixels are his favorite) and Windows as well.
Zach is also a life-long gamer with a burgeoning interest in the cloud gaming space. Serving as a beta tester for GeForce Now, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Amazon Luna, plus as an early adopter of Google Stadia, Zach's knowledge and expertise in the cloud gaming space has led him to become an expert in the category.
Education
Zach earned a Bachelor’s degree in English communications from the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he also minored in sociology. He has previously earned an Inbound Marketing Certification from HubSpot and a Web SEO and Accessibility Certification from Siteimprove.
