Amazon Rolls Out Kindle Lending Library for Prime Members

In September we told you about the beta test of Amazon’s public library lending system. Now they’ve rolled out another lending system for Kindle owners with Amazon Prime accounts.

The system is simple. Amazon has roughly 5,000 books available for check out (including quite a few best sellers like Water for Elephants, The God Delusion, The Hunger Games Trilogy, and more). You can check out one book at a time with no due date. Keep it on your Kindle for as long as you wish; you only lose access to it when you check out a new book.

The Lending Library is free but only available for Kindle owners with an Amazon Prime account. Hit up the link below to read more and see their step-by-step guide to getting the free books onto your Kindle.

Oh what a surprise, unless I am missing something, yet again the rest of the world gets shafted.
I have a Kindle and Prime but apparently the UK isn’t good enough for this.

Whine to the people who hold the publishing rights to these books in the UK and don’t blame Amazon.

It isn’t just this though, loads of Amazon’s services are effected and I am sure that Amazon have more than enough clout with the publishers to get their own way if they wanted.
