    i remember reading something about the connection between ghost in the shell and the matrix that it was a real inspiration for the movie so its no surprise to see connections on the actually video

    I find these arguments to be specious. They are saying many small bits of the movie, are similar to small bits from many other movies. But there’s only so many ways you can add 3 and 4.

    Do you know how many movies have made want a live action Ghost in the shell? Heck written well and VERY few changes “Surrogates” would be very close to that! Avatar, Paprika, the commercials for Deus Ex Human Revolution, I could go on!

    GITS is just a very good concept, I only wish there were more TV shows and moves.

    Nothing today is completly orrigional. To much has been written over to long a time for one to be completly free of past recorded works of some sort.

Producer Joel Silver has stated that the Wachowski brothers first described their intentions for The Matrix by showing him that anime and saying, “We wanna do that for real”.
