PixelGarde Enhances Privacy by Stripping EXIF Data From Photos

Windows/Android/iOS: If you’re reluctant to share photos online because of embedded metadata (like GPS coordinates in pictures taken from your camera phone), PixelGarde offers easy metadata stripping and photo sharing.

PixelGarde is a free app available for iOS and Android mobile devices as well as Windows machines. You can easily sort your photos, selectively strip out EXIF data, edit EXIF data, and share photos right from the application. Hit up the link below to read more and grab a copy for your OS.

Such a cool app! I couldn’t even find my gps setting on my Android phone to turn it off. With Pixelgarde, I get to keep geotags, keep gps on, and i can also share photos from the app on Facebook, twitter, etc., all for free! Thanks for writing about this.

I would suggest to use EXIFTool with the additional GUI.

It not only removes EXIF but also all other “hidden” data (i.e. Photoshop tags)
