Spotify Music Service No Longer Invite Only; First Six Months Free

Following the Facebook F8 conference announcement, Spotify is ditching the invite only model and offering 6 months free unlimited service.

The removal of the invite system (you can now sign up directly with a Facebook account) and the extended trial are part of Spotify’s push to extend their market hold by providing a more open sharing model. After six months users will shift from the unlimited trial to a standard free account.

Rather just use Grooveshark for free :/

Oh wow, Facebook is really doing everything they can to gain users now that Google Plus is here! Spotify should partner with Google Plus instead.

    I agree with Nathan.
For free, Grooveshark beats it hands down.
And for a paid service, Best Buy’s Napster at $5 a month beats Rhapsody & Spotify
–with great customer service to boot.
