Compass for Maps Adds a Compass to the iOS Maps App

Compass for Maps is a simple iOS addon that adds in a compass bearing to the iOS Maps app.

Compass for Maps replaces the basic blue location indicator with a compass bearing. Rather than simply see a blue dot when referencing yourself on the map you’ll instead see a directional indicator. Compass for Maps requires a jailbroken iOS device and is available from the Big Boss repository via Cydia.

A compass is already built into the default iOS maps app. Hit the location button once to go to your current location. Hit it a second time to orient the map based on your current compass heading. Hit it again to return the map to normal.

FYI before you waste time… it won’t work with an iPod Touch.

@Parker, you are correct, but you do not know what direction you are pointing once you select that view. This adds that capability.
