If you like to keep a tidy phone (or keep people out of your business), History Eraser Pro makes short work of cleaning out your Android device’s cache files.

Rather than dig through various menus and try to figure out how to clean out each individual cache, History Eraser Pro puts everything in a neat dashboard for easy cache wiping. Fire it up, select what you want to dump (like your call history, browsing history, and more) and wipe it away.

Despite the Pro in the name, History Eraser Pro is a free application–Android 1.5+ required.

Clearing cache is not only good for privacy and storage, it can also sometimes help straighten out a misbehaving application (we have had specific issues with the weather channel app and mafia wars which were both fixed by dumping the cache.) This gives one nice central place to do this. I use 1-Tap Clean Cache, which does just cache, and it really helps because I don’t have to go to each app individually through the settings, manage applications menu.

Do this on a rooted device through CWM without installing a separate app I wipe cache and dalvik (advanced) at least once every couple of weeks.
