Build a Batman-Style Hidden Bust Switch

By Jason Fitzpatrick on February 16th, 2011

In the original Batman series (and in countless spoofs and homages to it down the road) there was a bust of Shakespeare that concealed a button that opened up the Batcave. Join the secret-keeping super hero club by building your own secret bust switch.

Instructables user TheNewHobbyist shares a detailed guide to turning a resin replica bust (in this case he used one of Beethoven) with a remote control switch inside. The finished product toggles the lights on and off in his home office/man cave. Because the switch is battery powered and connected to a wireless relay he can move the bust wherever he wants and it will still trigger the remote switch. This also means there are no wires dangling out of the bust to give away the location of the secret switch. Hit up the link below for additional photos and instructions.
