Snackr RSS Ticker Scrolls Updates Across Your Monitor

Snackr is an Adobe AIR-based RSS ticker. Install, load it with RSS feeds, and watch the news roll right by.

Snackr takes random unread stories from the prior 30 days (you can adjust the window of time) and rolls them by in the Snackr bar. You can stick the bar across the top or bottom of your monitor or mount it on the sides–with widescreen monitors it makes the most sense to use a little space on the side.

You can import your RSS feeds from Google Reader, from an XML file, or manually enter them. In addition you can adjust the scroll speed, ticker opacity, how items are picked from the feed, and where it’s docked. Visit the link below to read more and grab a copy. Snackr is free and works on any OS that can run Adobe AIR.

Very nice indeed, but didnt like the scrolling it was to fast tryed to slow it down but then it started to lag..
Would be better if the lates news hat been at the top and not moving :) Then click it and it goes away.

@Radeon: Lag like it was choppy? or lag like it was just slow? I found that if you don’t put enough news feeds in you get patches of no updating (like a dozen articles will scroll by and then it will just be dead space for a little while).

I’d like this a lot more if it had the option to reserve screen space, rather than the window being overlapped by it or hiding it under a window.

RSS Panel X from userscript, is good too.
    Any OS.
