Make Creating App Tabs Easier in Firefox

One of the terrific built-in features of Firefox 4.0 is the ability to create app tabs for your favorite websites. The only downside is the extra steps required to do so by going through the Context Menu. With the Easy App Tabs extension you can reduce the work to a simple and quick double-click.

Another nice bonus with this helpful extension is that you will not need to restart Firefox after installing it! Just add the extension to Firefox and start double-clicking away on those tabs.

Note: The extension currently works with Firefox versions 4.0b4 – 4.0.*.

A lot of Firefox Tab extensions had this option for a while. However, I still do not use it. I have plenty of screen and do not keep more than 7-8 tabs at the time.

You neglected to say this add-on is for the current beta only.
    Not for current release 3.6

I can’t even get the few tabs I open to stay open between sessions.
(‘checking ‘Save & Quit’ before exit hasn’t worked in 3.6)

So this seems like pie-in-the-sky to me.

@rroberto – I specifically included a note just before the download URL stating which versions of Firefox that the extension worked with when I posted the article.

Thanks for this. Along with the other addons you listed in the comments after the piece on trying FF4 Beta. (iconic firefox and status-4-evar)

@rroberto have you tried the Tab-mix plus addon? It works with 3.6 (but not yet for 4)
