MTCrypt Is an Efficient Front End for Mounting TrueCrypt Volumes

TrueCrypt is an awesome tool for creating secure partitions and encrypting your files. Mounting and dismounting partitions, however, can be a hassle. MTCrypt speeds up the process with a simple GUI interface.

MTCrypt doesn’t do any encryption or decryption of its own, it’s merely a front end tool for TrueCrypt. Rather than work your way through the menus in TrueCrypt–for casual use by an inexperienced user the TrueCrypt GUI is a bit overwhelming–MTCrypt assists you with a simple interface for the mounting and dismounting of TrueCrypt volumes.

Does not work on Win7 x64 if you have 64 bit TrueCrypt installed.
MTCrypt depends onTrueCrypt being installed in C:\Program Files (x86)

Been using TruCrypt for quite some time now and i love it. Although i like the idea of a simpler way to access encrypted containers and files …. i really like the Trucrypt GUI. I figure if someone is trying to use it and the GUI scares them off then that’s one more layer of security.

    It’s a bummer that it doesn’t support TrueCrypt-64bit!

V0.9.5 has been released. It now includes 64 bit support. Thanks all for pointing this out. My Truecrypt was installed in the x86 dir because it was where i had it originally installed.
