LinkPeelr Displays Links Behind Shortened URLs in Chrome

By Akemi Iwaya on October 20th, 2010

Shortened URLs have become an everyday fact of life when visiting your favorite social services online. The LinkPeelr extension for Chrome lets you see the real links behind shortened URLs when you hover your mouse over them.

Once the extension has been installed you will have a new toolbar button, but you will not need to interact with it to access the extension’s capabilities. At the moment the toolbar button acts as more of a counter for the number of links that you have “peeled back” than anything else.
