Add a Vista Style Sidebar to Windows 7

Are you missing the dedicated sidebar from Windows Vista now that you use Windows 7? Now you can get it back just like it was in Vista with the 7 Sidebar gadget.

All that you need to do is install the gadget and you are good to go. When it first starts up it will be empty as seen in the left view above. You can view thumbnails of all open app windows (middle view above) and easily add your favorite gadgets to the sidebar (right view above). The sidebar can also stay visible full-time with app windows maximized.

    @Hatryst – No, it works in addition with your current widgets. Basically all that it does is recreate the background sidebar area where you can lock all of your widgets down and keep them in view. ^__^

    I love this gadget. But unfortunately the gadget does not work under Win2008 R2.

    Does this show/hide with a keyboard short cut as vistas did?i really miss that functionality.
