Apple released the new MacBook Air earlier this year, complete with an overhauled design and the company's new M2 chip. Now you can buy one for $150 off at Amazon, the best discount yet.

Amazon has discounted the entry-level M2 MacBook Air to $1,049.00, a discount of $150 from the original price (13% off). It has a 13.6-inch "Liquid Retina Display" with a notch at the top for the webcam, 8 GB RAM, a 256 GB SSD for storage, a fingerprint sensor for login and authentication, and a backlit keyboard. For connectivity, you get two Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 Type-C ports, MagSafe 3 for charging (the Type-C ports can also charge the laptop), a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0.

This is the entry-level model of the new M2 MacBook Air, with 256 GB of internal storage and 8 GB RAM.

Besides the updated design, the main selling point here is the M2 chip, which is Apple's latest System-on-a-Chip (SoC) intended for Mac computers. It's faster than the base M1 chip (not the M1 Pro, Max, etc.) in the previous Air, and makes this a great computer for everything from juggling Word documents to light video editing. However, the storage in this entry-level model is slightly slower than the M1 Air, which is still available for $899.

The current sale isn't an Earth-shattering discount, but considering the laptop is an Apple product and is only a few months old, it's not too shabby. If you're on the fence, check out the MacBook Air M2 review from our sister site, ReviewGeek.
