On the event window, at the top, click “Delete Event” (a trash can icon).

Click "Delete Event" in the event window.

You will be asked if you’d like to send a cancellation email to your event guest. To do so, optionally, write a message in the box and then click “Send.” Otherwise, click “Don’t Send.”

Note: Your recipients’ calendar program might still notify them that the event has been canceled.
