Whenever Apple announces an event, the entire tech world stands up and takes notice. It wasn't long ago that the company announced the iPhone 13 devices, and Apple now is hosting its big Unleashed event on October 18, 2021, which is expected to focus on MacBook Pros, a Mac Mini, and AirPods.

How to Watch Apple's Mac Unleashed Mac Event

The Unleahsed Mac event is scheduled to take place on October 18, 2021, at 1 pm ET (10 am PT).

If there's one thing we can count on from Apple, it's that the company will make it almost impossible to miss its significant events. This will be no exception, as the company will have it up on its Apple Events page. You'll also be able to watch it from the Apple TV app.

Additionally, Apple always streams its events on YouTube, and you can find the video for that embedded above.

What to Expect For MacBook Announcements

The meat of the event will likely be the new MacBooks, as those are what we're all waiting to see. All of the rumors suggest that the company will announce two new MacBook Pro models. We're expecting new 14" and 16" MacBook Pro devices that are likely to feature Apple's new Arm-based processor called the M1X.

The new chip will feature ten CPU cores while the M1 chip has eight, so it should offer a little more power than Apple's current silicon.

There's a lot of speculation that Apple might phase out the OLED touch bar, which is a feature very few people are likely to miss.

Finally, we think the new MacBook Pro models will come with magnetic MagSafe charging (Apple seems to be all about magnetic charging lately), an HDMI port, and an SD card slot.

What Mac Mini Will We Get?

A very credible rumor suggests that Apple will launch a higher-end Mac Mini that features the same M1X chip as the new MacBook Pros. It would make sense for Apple to put its new chip to work in more places, and a Mac Mini would serve as a perfect spot.

According to the reports, the new Mac Mini will come with more ports than the previous M1 model, with two USB 4 Type-C ports and two USB Type-A ports. Between the extra ports and more powerful chip, this Mac Mini could absolutely be a suitable desktop replacement for Apple users.

Will Apple Announce AirPods?

Rounding out the event should be a new set of Apple AirPods. These have been heavily rumored for a long time, and we expect them to feature a design similar to the AirPods Pro, which will be a welcomed change for anyone looking to snag a more affordable pair of true wireless earbuds.
