Friday Fun: Notebook Wars 2

By Akemi Iwaya on April 1st, 2011

Friday has finally arrived again, so why not take a break and have fun with something different? In this week’s game you engage in a battle to reclaim your notebook from the fleet of enemy planes and support forces that have invaded it.

Notebook Wars 2

The object of the game is to defeat the fleet of enemy planes and support forces that have invaded your notebook.

You can monitor the badges that you have acquired during game play in this section.

The options allow you to be gentler with the system resources used by the game if needed…just disable the Shadows and Weather features. If you are playing this game at work you may want to disable the music and/or the sounds to avoid drawing attention…

Once you click Play you will be presented with the battle map for your notebook. Your first battle will occur at the location outlined in red in the lower left corner.

When you click on a map location a small pop-up window with abbreviated stats for that level will appear. Click on the Play Button to enter that level.

Here is what the beginning of Level One looks like…you can monitor your Life Level, Score, and Money Earned along the bottom.

To play the game:

  • Use your mouse to move your plane around (all directions)
  • Press and release the “A Key” to engage the auto-fire feature
  • Press the Space Bar to use bombs you have on board
  • Press the “P Key” to pause or restart the game

As you move through the level try to gather as many coins and other items (such as bombs) as you can while avoiding enemy fire.

You will also encounter ground-based enemy fire along the way.

Continue to work your way through the level until you reach the end where you will face a Boss Plane and its’ two escorts. Each section of the Boss Plane has its’ own Life Indicator to help you monitor the amount of damage inflicted. Keeping moving as fast as you can because the Boss Plane can really throw a lot of fire your way!

Getting closer to victory now!

When you complete a level you will be presented with your score, amount of money earned, and your accuracy rating.

Once you have returned to the battle map you can shop for upgrades, move on to the next battle, or replay a previously completed level if desired.

Here is a look at the upgrades shop. You will definitely need to earn as much money as possible during your battles because the upgrades do not come cheaply. You can check the prices for different items by clicking on them…

On to the battle over the sea!
