Google has Added a Calling Feature to Their Hangouts Messaging System

The switch-over to Google Hangouts from Google Chat/Talk earlier this year left people without a beloved and much used feature…the ability to make calls from within their Google accounts. Starting this week though, the ability to make calls has been added into the Hangouts messaging system so that people can enjoy this awesome and convenient feature once again.

The new addition to Google’s revamped messaging system lets you place calls from within Gmail, Google+, and the Hangouts extension for Chrome. The price of calling is also free or set at a low-cost as mentioned in the following excerpt:

From the Official Gmail Blog post: Calls to the US and Canada are now free from all countries where Hangouts calling is available. And international rates remain super, super low.
