LOL! I wish I had a dollar for every time I’ve seen that happen!

Yep…… setting up one time I was talking to a friend who happened to be the ride supervisor. as we talked he (a busy man especially during set ups and slough’s)(tear downs) got a text message……. from freak who was standing not 20 feet away. In talking if not shouting distance!

I see this a lot with e-mail. People in my office would rather send an email than walk 25 ft down the hall for a real life in person discussion. Very annoying.

A friend of mine had her boyfriend break off their relationship because he didn’t scroll down far enough to read all the text on his phone. I swear that we’re all becoming ADHD. Many, many times have I asked 3 or more questions via SMS or email only to have the first question answered and no more. My friend and her boyfriend made up after a while. I told them “NO TEXT! After all, you don’t F**K via SMS, do you?” Face-to-face interaction is becoming rare, and OMG look someone in the eye and see them squirm! WTF is wrong with people?!? /EndOfRant

Have to admit: I have sat at the counter in a coffee shop and asked someone seated a few stools down to, “Please pass the salt.” via SMS because I didn’t want to shout. REALLY!

This is how humankind will become (truly) all thumbs. Fingers will become stubs and recede into the hands. The mouth will disappear through disuse. Neck muscles will atrophy. It will eventually become standard medical procedure to have them removed, the way the appendix once was.

Seriously, as mobile tech gets better and more impressive, we are becoming less and less worth a damn as a race. This stuff was supposed to empower us.

It makes me laugh to see two people sit down at a café opposite each other prodding away at their phones in silence.
