Evolution of Apple: A Fan Spliced Mega Tribute to the Apple Product Lineup

Whether you’re an Apple fan or not, this 3.5 minute tribute to the evolution of Apple products is a neat look back at decades of computing history and iconic design.

Put together by Apple fan August Brandels, the video splices together Apple commercials and promotional footage from the last 30 years (remixed against the catchy background tune Silhouettes by Avicii) into a mega tribute to the computer giant. If nothing else they should hire the guy to do motivational videos for annual employee meetings.

Nice vid, it does a good job of reminding me how much I dislike Apple products.

swell…if I were Apple I’d get my lawyers to sue this guy into the next dimension for copy-write infringement & all-around bad taste in music

You know, as much as I hate Apple, the screens have always been the most ridiculously amazing thing about them. Seriously, I would love to see that type or resolution on a Windows machine.

Just check out the Nokia Lumia 920. Higher resolution and density screen than the iPhone 1 rev5

You hate Apple ?? Don’t watch the Video ;), no one can deny that apple changed the world, since the first mouse, till the iPhone and the iPad

@Xana452 I’ve been using Apple computers for quite some time now and I really dislike the direction the screens have gone. They went from a eye friendly matte screen to a glossy piece of crap. I think the WOW factor is there when you’re taking a glance at them, but actually using them for an extended period of time, the glare and reflections just get annoying. I’m super bummed that they don’t offer Cinema Displays or iMacs with a matte finish.

I have been a great fan of Apple since the iPad2. I then got the iPhone 4S and love it. Apple definitely has the edge over the competition. I am now saving to replace my pc with a iMac. Great job on the advert. You got my vote

no one, not even the hard core techy fans can deny that it is a great idea, company makes the hardware (i know they dont make it themselves now) and then sells that machine with an OS perfectly built for that hardware, all updates are for that hardware… that is great, no needing Direct X between software and driver, no bad drivers due to the company not making a vista, 7 or 8 driver. Style, yes again they have a lot of style and can get away with it because the style was again built for the machine and os from the start, yes there is rocket dock and multi monitor software for windows but they all aid in slowing Windows down.

Apples biggest down fall… printers, they are screwing them up good and proper! (but i wish for a paperless world so, just need to get the boss’ fixed and i am good) Cost, but then thats not fair if a product is worth then you cant say they cost more, thats like comparing a Gumpert Apollo with a Ford Focus…

all this said, if you know how to use a PC then there are no real problems, and the style can be how you want, if you own a mac and there is a problem then you dont (not even the ‘genius” at apple) know how to fix it…

cut me and i bleed windows. but apple have their place too.

Please, bobro. Having one company decide for YOU what computer you will be able to use is a terrible idea. Not being able to specify what is in my computer, what I can upgrade, and how I use it will never appeal to me or any other “hard core techy fans”. Steve Jobs (or his clones) will NEVER tell me what computer I can use.
