Friday Fun: Whizz Wordz Deluxe

By Akemi Iwaya on August 24th, 2012

In this week’s game you have to create as many words as possible within a short time limit using the given letters. Can you think quickly and create a winning set of words or will your mind blank out from the pressure?

Whizz Wordz Deluxe

The game comes with two modes…Classic and Quick. Click on the Green Start Button at the top (beside the timer) when you are ready to begin. You will then have two minutes in which to create as many words as possible.

Left click on the desired letters to build new words. It is recommended that you make sure to get a solid click on the letters when selecting them, otherwise you may have to click a second time to select those letters (which we experienced occasionally during game play).

When you have your word filled in click on the Green Enter Button in the lower right corner.

Each time you complete a round you can select one of the available categories to lock a score in for…the red triangles will turn green when you hover your mouse over them.

Since a Slam (all 8 letter slots filled) is rather difficult to get, we decided to go ahead and accept a score of zero for that category and leave the others open for better scores. Once you have selected a category, the number text for it will turn red and will remain unalterable for the rest of the game.

Later in the game there was only one remaining category that we could earn a score for…

When you have finished the final round, click on the last remaining category to lock that score in and be taken to the End Screen.

The End Screen will let you submit your score if desired or return to the Main Menu to play again.

Here is a screenshot of Quick Mode. You get three minutes for a single round and your total score is based on whatever words you are able to make within the time limit. Good luck and have fun!
