I’ve been called for keyboard problems similar to this, here are the fixes i can think of right now:

    – pull keyboard out from under desk (ESC key was being pressed by something under desk) 2 days in a row, same user.
    – moved file folder off of left shift key.
    – moved notebook off of left shift key.
    – removed plastic toy that user had jammed into the space between ESC key and keyboard face causing constant key press.

I once left a blank CD sitting on top of my bamboo pen/touch tablet, and every website I looked at would just zoom out like crazy.
After a few days, I figured out that the cd was emulating the 2-finger gesture for zooming out.

Genuine HelpDesk call. “the feet for my keyboard are not there”.

    “Yes they are.” *click*

    Closing HelpDesk call.

    @ phil,

The “ANY” key is the long skinny one at the bottom of your keyboard. If you blog or do any serious writing with your keyboard then it’s probably the one key you hit more often than “any” other. (Some people know it as a “space” key.)

I had the caps-lock key on when using vim once. I thought the world had gone mad. (Vim lets you use the caps-lock key instead of shift for commands, so all of my commands were being interpreted like shift was held.)

My keyboard sometimes love to suck in the Alt key.Whenever I double click a folder,it opens up its properties and certain painful other consequences.
