Friday Fun: Ghosruns

By Akemi Iwaya on June 8th, 2012

In this week’s game a huge ghost is on the loose and chasing after your group of humans. Can you successfully beat the Match-3 challenge on each level or will your group become this ghost’s newest friends for eternity?

There are ten levels of ghost evading goodness waiting for you.

Playing the game is simple. Once you start a level, click on a colored orb and move it up/down or right/left to form a chain of orbs at least 3 or more in length. Matching orbs up will clear that section of the game board and allow new orbs to slide into place.

Note: Once you match up a set of orbs it is very likely that you will set off a chain reaction of other matching sets, thus pumping your score up very nicely.

Here is the first level and it is time to run! Take special notice of the greyish-white squares on the game board…you will need to make sure and match up sets of orbs over these colored squares whenever possible. As long as one greyish-white square remains the level can not be finished and the ghost will continue to get closer and closer to catching your group of humans.

A nice little pump up for our score… As you can see one of the humans has already started to fall behind a little bit, which is not good at all.

Once all the greyish-white squares have been cleared, then your group of humans will escape off the side of the screen.

You can choose to move on to the next level or stop game play at the end of each level.

On to the second level and a change in how the ghost looks (he gets a new look for each level). With each successive level there will be more greyish-white squares to clear and you will need to clear the board more quickly. Keep in mind that if the ghost catches all of your humans on a level, then you will have the opportunity to replay that particular level again without having to go back to the first level.

Note: All of the squares will be greyish-white on the final level (see topmost image) and you will be pushed on rather hard to try and clear it in time.

Pausing the game is easy to do if needed…you can use the Pause Button inside the game or just click outside of your browser window. Good luck and have fun escaping the ghost!
