Just my opinion, but is it really necessary to put ponies in everything? I mean, everything was awesome until people added ponies to ’em.

    Seriously guys. WTF.

  3. Citrus Rain

    Yes. Yes it is.

I love the Mine Little Pony minecraft mod more than any mod that’s out there. (Especially since I can set it to NOT force other users to be ponies.)

Take a bite out of a Slim Jim ! Yeah !

Still not a good enough reason. The way the rest of the internet sees it is that grown-up men are watching a show meant for 7yr-old children. Got a good explanation for that?

  6. Citrus Rain

Yeah, I have a whole list of explanations. But I’m tired of explaining it, and this isn’t the place to do so.

Then we can just assume is it due to lack of manliness. *writes down*

    Ha ha very funny.

I just didn’t want to sound stereotypical, but if you insist…

The newest series was designed by Lauren Faust to stick out and not be painful for parents to watch with their kids, however this caused it to be the same type of show as something more like Spongebob – which also apparently has a similar following. Blah blah blah… Typical brony defenses of why they like the show include good story lines, detailed animation, quality… however any fan will claim the same things about whatever they would be defending… Recent events in the fandom include John De Lancie (Q from Star Trek) directing a documentary about us because he feels that the negative aspects are being focused on after seeing Faux News bash us…
The show normally references to pop culture like Star Wars, Star Trek (The 2 part opener for season 2 was inspired by a Star Trek binge – even got De Lancie to voice the Q-esque villian), Benny Hill (yakkety sax music is what did me in), Metal Gear Solid, Pokemon, Harry Potter, an old musical movie called “The Music Man”, a few other old musicals I don’t even know, Willy Wonka, Doctor Who, King Kong/Godzilla, etc, etc, etc.

If that’s not a good enough answer for you then you’ll never get it.

I see. Thank you for the explanation. Now, here is my final question. Why do you insist on converting everything/everyone to bronyism? Just because they reference MGS or Star Trek in the show doesn’t mean you have to put ponies on everything in the show.

I no longer care to get everyone in it. Particularly because it’s reached critical mass, and people think airing a commercial about bronies/ thanking the studio that worked on it (by getting them to help with their own thank you card) on the hub is a good idea. (MORONS!!!!)

Having pony plugins for stuff is just fun.

I really hate to derail this article’s comments, so if you have more to say, find me on G+

Fair enough. Keep an eye out for me. I’ll be waiting…
