Link: The Legend of Pac-Man [Video]

Combine the hero of Hyrule and his foes with a Pac-Man board and you’ve got a recipe for an entertaining retro game mashup where Link races to get the coins with goblins on his tail.

While just a creative video, we’re hoping someone takes this simple concept and runs with it. We’d definitely play a round or two of this Pac-Man/Link hybrid.

I would play it all day long!

Wouldn’t be surprised if somebody codes this up eventually. There is that Super Mario Bros. clone where you can play all the different NES characters, each with their own moves. There’s Mario, of course, as well as Samus from Metroid, Link from the Zelda games, one of the Belmonts from Castlevania (Simon, perhaps, from II), and a couple other people. I’d be surprised if H2G has never featured it. I think it was called Super Mario Crossover?

Also, for the Zelda fans who thought Zelda 3 was too easy, look up “Parallel Worlds”. Hard for the sake of being hard isn’t my thing, but if you think you’re great at Zelda games, LoZ:PW has a challenge for you. It’s a ROM hack of Zelda 3, incorporating elements from some of the other games, and it’s quite hard. From the first dungeon where you get your sword at the END (so you gotta Metal Gear it through the whole thing) to the one that is dark all throughout, the one with the 1-tile-wide ice maze with the bumpers, the six knights from the East Palace that take about 100 hits each to kill… yeah, it will test you, haha.
