60,000 Dominoes Come Crashing Down [Video]

If you love watching a good Domino construction come crashing down but you just don’t have the time for a long video, you can watch 60,000 come crashing down in seconds here.

YouTube user FlippyCat loves–really, really, loves–building Domino structures and knocking them down. In the above video he constructs a sequence of Domino walls out of 60,000 Domino blocks and then sends them tumbling. You can check out his YouTube channel at the link below for more Domino-fueled antics including outtakes for the video above.

Jason Fitzpatrick is a warranty-voiding DIYer who spends his days cracking opening cases and wrestling with code so you don't have to. If it can be modded, optimized, repurposed, or torn apart for fun he's interested (and probably already at the workbench taking it apart). You can follow him on if you'd like.

You have way too much time on your hands.

Sadly, Flippycat’s cat, Flippy passed away quite a while ago. I think he has slowed down video output since then.

    Who’s payroll are they on?

    I couldn’t AFFORD 60,000 dominos!

Those aren’t dominoes, and it “domino” isn’t a brand name, so it doesn’t need to be capitalized. And I was expecting the traditional in-a-row domino fall. This was unexciting. And why were the builders wearing hearing protection?

Maybe to protect them from their own expletives?

I thought they were headphones, to cure their boredom.

The thing I found weirdest about this video was not that he would spend all that time stacking them just to knock them down, it was that he changed shirts to match the color for each row as he was building.

Now now guys, ever heard of “artistic expression”? I thought that was pretty Cool! I just wondered how they got em all up with no …..accidents!! I bet he placed cardboard divider behind the one being built, during construction

@Ingeniouser in the fails and other angels it shows the dividers, don’t think it was hardboard and there WERE accidents.

I like dominoes falling as much as the next guy, but this was a little absurd. As someone else noted, those were not dominoes. They were just colored blocks or something. I dunno, maybe they were.

If you wanna see a great dominoes video, hit up YouTube and search for “oblivion dominoes”. I think it’s just one person making them. They use the PC version of Oblivion and set up a ton of books which serve as the dominoes, and incorporate traps and such, then they start the chain reaction and let the physics engine do the rest. It’s really neat. Here’s the latest one.
