DIY Kitchen Computer Rocks 17″ Built-In Touch Screen

By Jason Fitzpatrick on December 22nd, 2011

If you’re looking to pack a little computing power into your kitchen you’d be hard pressed to beat this built-in kitchen computer complete with a massive 17″ touch screen interface.

If you told people you were planning on building a touch-screen computer for your kitchen you’d likely get a lot of “Why don’t you just buy a tablet?” inquiries. If you did that, however, you’d miss out on an enormous screen, a customizable build, and a machine that supports OS upgrades and future tweaks. Those features are precisely why Instructables user Claudiopolis went the DIY route when he decided to upgrade his wife’s aging kitchen laptop to a sweet touch-screen machine built right into the kitchen wall.

Hit up the link below to check out the entire build; make sure to also check out the comments on the guide as Claudiopolis is really active in the comments answering questions about the build and tweaks he’s made.
