Windows Easy Transfer allows a user to transfer files and settings from an existing Windows computer to Vista.

Contents

Overview

Similar to XP's File and Settings Transfer Wizard, Easy Transfer allows you to transfer only files and settings. You cannot transfer device drivers or program files. The existing programs on your old machine will need to be reinstalled. However, the settings for these programs should transfer over without any problems.
