DirectX 10 is the latest graphics upgrade for Windows operating systems that will make games and multimedia applications look extremely impressive compared to legacy technology.

Overview

DirectX 10 is the latest version of the DirectX from Microsoft that allows Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to produce more detailed 3D graphics for gamers and Multimedia applications. DirectX 10 is available on Vista Basic, Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate. One of the earliest games to adopt DirectX 10 technology is Crysis. This game adopted the new technology early and shows what is possible.
