Wondershare Video to Audio Converter is a powerful video to audio conversion tool that can convert video to audio formats including MP3, WAV, WMA and M4A. There are several cool features of this program which include converting a good number of video files to some of the most common audio formats.

There is the ability to trim the video file to convert different sections of the audio.

Another cool feature is the ability to batch convert multiple files and even merge them into one audio file.

You can adjust the volume settings of the videos as well.

Ease of Use – 8

The user interface is laid out very nicely and converting video to audio files is extremely easy.  Here we will look at converting one video file to MP3.  First click on the Add button at the top which will open explorer so you can browse to the video file you want to convert.  It then will show up in the list below with additional information about the file.  You can also just drag a file directly into the list window.

Next choose the audio format you want to convert the video to where the default is MP3.  You can also change the directory of where the file will be saved.

Click on Settings to configure the audio file output quality such as the bit rate or sample rate.

After you have everything set up how you like it click on the Start button.

There will be a progress screen shown while the conversion completes.

Another successful conversion and you can also have the finished output directory to open when it is finished.

Performance – 8

Video to Audio converter performs conversions quite quickly.  The amount of time it takes will depend on the size of the video file and what format you’re converting to but in our tests we had no complaints.

Registered users will find several ways to get customer support on their site which includes FAQ, Support Request Forms, Email, and Live Chat.  Any questions we had were answered a a timely fashion usually within 24 hours unless it was live chat which will get you help much quicker.

Conclusion

This is a very nice application for converting video to audio files to play on your mp3 player.  Conversions are fast and easy to several of the most common audio formats.  It would be nice if you could convert directly from a DVD file but that is a minor issue.  Wondershare Video to Audio Converter works with Windows XP and Vista (32 and 64 bit versions) and we also were able to get it to work successfully on the Windows 7 beta.  They include a free 30 day trial and then $25 for a full license.
