Ease of Use – 8
The user interface is nicely laid out and converting a PPT to video is quite easy. Here we will take a look at converting a PowerPoint presentation about Vista security to an AVI file. First select PowerPoint to AVI on the main screen.

Next browse to the location of the presentation to convert. You can actually select up to 12 different PowerPoint presentations at once.

You can then change video and layout settings to your liking.

In layout settings you can customize margin size, colors, and add a custom logo.

In the next step change the timing between your slides.

Before converting the PowerPoint a reminder message is shown to make sure the conversion goes properly. If you’re doing multiple conversions you can select to bypass the message.

While the PowerPoint is converted it shows the progress.

When it is finished there are handy links to the output folder, playing it right away, and other links to help create new videos.

Performance – 8
In all of our tests PPT2DVD performed very quickly. Results will vary depending on your system’s power, the size of the PowerPoint, and the video format it’s converting to. On our 64bit computer it used up few resources and were able to do other multitasking while the conversion took place. The included DVD burning software works very well and discs burned were able to be played on other DVD players.
