Overview
Revo Uninstaller Pro builds on its free version with the Pro version that includes several extra features. It will list the installed programs and components for all current users. It provides a choice of views and information on program properties, registry entries and links to the manufacturer’s website. There is a search option that find installed apps by typing in the first few letters of the name. It scans before and after uninstalling programs to find extra files and registry entries left behind by the program’s default uninstaller.
Installation
Installing Revo Uninstaller Pro is a straight forward and easy process following the install wizard.

Features
Of course you have the Uninstaller that lists all of the apps installed on your system, and from here you select what you want to remove.

Autorun Manager allows you to control what applications run during start up.

Window Tools give you easy access to Services and other tools that are buried deep in the operating system.

The Browsers Cleaner feature lets you clear out your browsing history, cookies, temp files and more from different web browsers installed on the computer.

Microsoft Office Cleaner allows you to clean out recent document history for versions 2000 through 2007.

Windows Cleaner let’s you clean up temp files, document history, the recycle bin, and more unnecessary files that Windows saves so you can reclaim disk space.

The user interface has been redone and includes tabbed features and an easy to use search that lets you find the app you want to remove more quickly.

You can pickup the Tools Toolbar and move it around to anywhere you want within the app.

It still includes the same favorite features like Hunter Mode.

Ease of Use
Revo Uninstaller Pro is quite easy to use just like the free version. Right-click on a program in the list to uninstall, open the registry key. or search it on Google.

To uninstall an app, right-click on the program and select Uninstall.

Revo will create a System Restore Point, a full Registry backup, then starts the program’s default uninstaller.

The program uninstaller starts and you just need to continue through the wizard.

After the uninstall is complete, choose between Safe, Moderate, or Advanced scanning mode.

The leftovers are shown so you can delete them. Only delete the blue items and not the red entries…

Click yes to the confirmation dialog.

It searches for left over registry entries, files and folders. Some apps leave more junk files and folder left behind than others, but Revo does a good job detecting them.

Performance
We ran our tests on a Windows 7 (32-bit) system and uninstalled several more complex apps that usually leave traces of themselves on your system. While it doesn’t always removed all traces of all programs at times, it definitely picks up a lot more than the native uninstaller. It’s quite easy on system resources, and the scan speeds seem improved over the free version.

Support
Revo offers a Support and Help Center on their site and includes FAQ and a a form to send them an email with your support request.

Conclusion
Revo Uninstaller Pro has all of the features you enjoy in the free version plus a lot more. Users who like to keep their system clean of unwanted junk files, will like the Junk Files Cleaner and Microsoft Office Cleaner tools. If you’re a fan of the original version, you should really enjoy the extra features available in the Pro version as well. It will run on XP, Vista and Windows 7 both (32 & 64 bit versions). They offer a fully functional 30 day trial and is $39.25 after that. The license included free lifetime tech support and free updates for all future versions. If you’re looking for a great way to “really” uninstall programs completely, Revo Uninstaller Pro does a great job.

I’ve been using the free version of Revo Uninstaller for quite awhile and LOVE it. I’m not sure I’m willing to pay for the extras in the PRO version, but I’ll give it a try.
Looking at the screenshots and reading the article, it doesn’t seem to have much over the free version other than the faster scan times. And it looks like some things have been removed to fit the new user interface, such as the explanation about what each scan type is/does.
Is there a compelling reason why one should make the jump to Pro?
Excellent! BUT TOO EXPENSIVE!!
If it sold for $19.95 or even $24.95 I would buy immediately. At $39.95, I don’t think so.
One compelling reason to use it is if you have Windows 7 x64. The free version doesn’t work with w7×64. I had been using the free version for quite a while and was disappointed when I upgraded my computer and found Revo didn’t work with it. I suppose we can’t complain when it’s free, but I don’t see why the free version shouldn’t also work with the newer OS. Having said that, I like the Pro version (which I’m still trying out). One notable advantage over the free version is the install tracing feature that lets you install new software while Revo ‘monitors’ changes to your system. Then when uninstalling, there is no guess work – your system is back to pre-install state.
I’am running Windows 7 64bit,Ultimate.I have the free version 1.85. I haven’t had any trouble @ all.
nice
I must say I love this software, I found the free version a while back and never had any problems with it. Now I got the paid version and I love it even more.
If you are a paranoid performance geek that likes to have control over your computer then I recommend you get this. Free or Pro they are both excellent.
