Paragon Encrypted Disk is a set of system drivers, plug-ins, wizards and utilities to store your data in an encrypted form.  Paragon Encrypted Disk allows you to store data in an encrypted form but allows you to use the data as though it wasn’t encrypted.  You can create any number of encrypted disks on your hard drive and copy data to an from it.

Most functions are wizard driven making this encryption utility quite easy to use.  For example here we looking at quickly creating a new encrypted drive.

Choose the location for the data and the size of the encrypted volume.

Chose the type of encryption algorithm to use.

Create a password to access the encrypted data.

That is all there is to it!  Any data you put into the encrypted volume you can move to removable media and the encryption stays intact.

The first time you want to access the encrypted drive you will need to format it.

Paragon offers several ways to get support through their website including complimentary, per incident, and advanced plans.  Self help users will find FAQ, Knowledgebase, and online request support forms.  There is also phone support available for users who purchase extended support services.

Conclusion

Paragon Encrypted Disk make securing your private data with high level algorithms easy.  It allows you to re-encrypt data without moving it.  Place encrypted disk container files wherever you need: on hard disks, network disks or removable media.  Unfortunately the cost of a license doesn’t constitute a value when there are freeware encryption utilities out there.  This definitely makes encryption easy but might not be worth the cost of $29.95.  It works with Windows 98 all the way through Windows 7 (32-bit editions only).
