Installing Folder Castle is a quick and easy process.  During the installation you will need to create a password to access all functions.

There are a few ways to protect your data with Folder Castle.  You can completely hide the files and folders from other users where they will need the password to see what is hidden.  Adding them is an easy drag and drop process.

If a user tires to delete folders and files protected by Folder Castle they will get an error and not be able to delete your important data.

Everything created by Folder Castle is protected by a password.

The user interface is nicely laid out making it easy to use.  Anytime you launch Folder Castle you will need to supply your password.

Click on the Add Folder or File link at the bottom and navigate to the folder or files(s) you want to hide.

Create a virtual secure storage drive on your hard drive that is encrypted with AES 256-bit key.

Next pick the volume to create it on where you can do it on your local or removable drives.  Choose a drive letter, size of the drive, and create a strong password.

When finished you can check out the properties of the drive, defrag, check for errors, or change the storage format.

Go into My Computer and you will see the storage drive present.

Not only does it allow an easy way to protect your data and keep it private, but also works fast and doesn’t bog down system resources.

Folder Castle provides a quick and easy way to protect your data on your local and removable drives.  To begin using the application you will need to create a password and will need to remember it to make any changes or access data later.  They offer a limited 15 day trial that will allow a maximum of 5 objects then is $39.95 after that.  It will work on Windows 2000, XP, 2003, and Vista 32-bit editions.
