Overview
ALLCapture from Belesio is a screen recording app to capture your desktop in real-time. Record screen activities in real-time to quickly and easily create your own screencasts, demos, tutorials, software simulations and videos for the Internet without any programming language necessary. The steps are as easy as record, edit, export, and play. It allows up to an hour of recording and the editing tools are vast and include being able to duplicate, cut, copy and paste frames. You can define the windows size, add audio, pictures and animated effects. Export options include SWF, ASF, MPEG, SVCD, VCD, and EXE. Memory Manager allows swapping video footage to external media (e.g. hard drive, flash drives or USB sticks) in order not to compromise the PC’s performance.

Installation is straightforward and quick following the installation wizard and you will be recording a screencast within minutes.

Ease of Use
The interface is nicely laid out and intuitive to use. There are several neat tools for editing high quality recordings but without a complicated menu system. A screencast is very easy with ALLCapture and here we take a look at the basic steps to creating one.

In this example you can see the red border which is the 640×480 section of the desktop being recorded. Use the control box on the upper left to adjust the section of the desktop, go full screen and start recording.

While recording a control panel is displayed below the screen area where you can pause, start, and stop recording.

When done recording you can then edit the screencast to your liking with several nice editing options included.

Performance
This screen recording app runs smooth and is light on system resources. We ran this on a Windows 7 machine with a dual core AMD processor and 4GB of ram and the performance was great. While recording there was no slow down in performance of other apps, which is good when you’re trying to make a quality screencast quickly.

The quality of the finished recordings was slick and it includes several editing options to add your own pictures and animations to the presentation.

Product Support
As with all of the products we have covered from Balesio, ALLCapture has great customer support on their page. It includes downloadable manuals, FAQ, and submitting a contact form for individual queries.

They also offer video demos on their site to get you started using the apps different functions.

Conclusion
In our tests we found the quality of the recordings to be very good overall. Exporting the screencast to different file types turned out well with MPEG, SWF, and the executable. The nice thing about creating the executables is it launches the presentation in its own player that doesn’t need installation. This makes it easier to send the screencasts to others without having to worry about video file formats. One thing to note however, is there are not as many editing and export options as included in say a Camtasia Studio, but it has enough for most basic needs. It offers an easy to use interface that produces professional results without a difficult selection of menus. They offer a free 30 day trial and is $199 after that for a full individual license or $289 for the enterprise version which includes extra features. If you or your business is looking for an affordable screen capturing tool that produces professional results, ALLCapture is definitely worth a look.

That sounds very expensive. I think I stick to my WMCapture which was $40 for life and produces superb results.
