How many times have you wanted to put a sticky note on a page to remind you of something?  For instance, you could put a sticky note on digg.com so the next time you visit it tells you that you should really be doing something more productive.  =)

How often have you typed in a command in your linux shell, and then realized that you forgot to type sudo, so you end up with an error or editing the dreaded read-only file? This happens to me much more than I’d like to admit, so I’m writing about it.

If you are using a router in your home network it is very important to keep your firmware updated.  Firmware is software which is embedded into your router’s hardware.  Since a majority of people own Linksys wired or wireless routers, I will show the steps on Linksys WRT54GS.  Depending upon the brand of router you own the steps will vary but the process is basically the same.

Everybody knows how to change their Vista logon/start menu picture, but if you select a new picture, Windows Vista removes the last picture from the list entirely, leaving just the new picture and the default pictures. Does anybody really use the robot or the fish picture?

You do not have to settle for MTV’s Urge music store when using Windows Media Player 11.  In fact you have a several stores you can choose from.  The list of stores include Napster, emusic, puretracks and others.  You also can use video download stores also such as MovieLink.

A lot of times people at the workplace try creative ways to claim ignorance about important matters…  Excuses like “I didn’t get your email” is one that seems to come to mind.  In Outlook 2007 you can easily resend the message in question.

I don’t know about you but anytime I have to use a CRT monitor anymore I just cringe. Yes there are still high quality CRT monitors out there, but they are such dinosaurs. CRT’s are so huge, clunky, and in the way. I am a huge fan of saving space in my computing work area and flat screens certainly accomplish that. Not to mention the other important benefit of LCD monitors which is power consumption.

If you’ve entered the wrong address into the Windows Vista Mail client, you might have problems getting rid of the wrong autocomplete entries in the list. There’s a couple of things you can try to delete the entries in the list.
