    You peaked my interest in how this could be done with Windows Vista so I did some searching until I found it. Go to Control Panel >> Ease of Access Center >> Make the keyboard easier to use. There is one box for making the sounds come one. Thanks for getting me started!

    This did not work for me. I followed the steps and no sound was heard when I pressed the Caps lock key. And yes, I do have my sound turned on (first thing I would have asked someone). Any other settings that need to be changed???

    perhaps Chase and Pittaway have turned off system sounds (the one that has nothing to do with loudspeakers etc)…

    i had a visual notification pop up above the task bar by the bottom right corner of my screen when i pressed caps lock….all of a sudden it no longer works…..i’m deaf so audible notification is no good…wish the visual one would come back…think it was an update that made it dissapear, not sure but it’s definately gone..

    I have been saveng this for when I got the new rig up and running. As soon as I followed the directiions it became functional. Thank you.
    (Incidentally, I’ve misplaced the info for a software that would provide a hot key to reverse capitalizaton once you realized you had typed a slew of it. Guess I won’t need it until I’ve gone deaf).

    Have followed direction about the cap lock key but something is amiss, this does noT WORK for me, as you can i hit the cap lock key [noT Work]
    and nothing changed, no sound, flah, blink or message[don't expect that]
    happened, any advise.?
