My Microsoft SideWinder precision 2 will not completely load on my Vista desktop; it loads to 99% and then stops. Is there a fix for this problem.

For those who get The Update Does not apply to your system please check agian at the update history that this update is not installed. Also verify that you had downloaded the Correct(!) update for your system.
e. g.
Downloaded 64bit update for 32bit.

I am getting the same “the update does not apply to your system” message as Chris – can’t determine why.

Upon installation a message is displayed “the update does not apply to your system,” though mine cleary meets the system requirements and nearly all off the stated issues, it does nothing…?!

I have installed both updates on Vista Business Edition x64 and it has increased processor performance. I was able to run benckmarks test to verify this. It is about 20 % increase.

Update for above….with 2.0 revision of 8/9/07, both patches installed. I didn’t notice a difference in performance, but they did install.

I tried to install both but my computer failed WGA, last night and again today. Are Vista OEM’s somehow restricted from receiving these patches?
