i swear to the only god out there that i suffered (morally) a LOT and benefited too from using windows since 2001, while there weren’t and there is no alternative to what i could do with a computer, and i just ask Myself why did you not care about these simple things before? another one, why do you never release upgrades to the system like Apple do? why money is the only measurement of your happiness or whatever drives you to continue to exist? you could ask, what?money? ahh!!! let me let you know, the so called customer perception out there is far from what you think it is. i know you don’t care of what i have to say, and here’s my thought anyway: 1. continue collecting feedback and use it properly to correct your own mess-up. 2. reduce prices so that people can afford it; your products are hugely overpriced but you still can collect your cash by monopolizing the IT industry, you know, there are those who don’t like to learn low level computer languages. 3. be on one side with the average user, be part of community, and not what you currently are – the unknown piple. 4. leave me alone.

What’s cool is that Microsoft actually LISTENS to the feedback, through telemetry and direct user comments.

The “Send Feedback” feature is probably *THE* most valuable tool that you, as Beta testers, have at your disposal. I mean, if you want to help shape the final product.

We *do* listen to your feedback — for suggestions and your bug reports. Windows 7 is going to be the most successful software launch in history.

Gor gods sake the link in every windows isnt just ugly it stops you using the interface properly as even small windows get it, many times you go to move a window and end up with send feedback windows opening…..and if you all think that microsoft is going to read 10 or 20 feedbacks from 2-5 million users every day you are living in a dreamworld…mr anderson !!!!!!!

So let me get this straight. People sign up for a BETA. They agree to HELP TEST it and they find the “Send Feedback” button annoying?

If anyone finds it annoying then they shouldn’t have signed up to be a beta tester in the first place.

I don’t know if this is a glich or just a way for a user to reboot their PC after a program install. But I found that after installing a program some of my keyboard shortcuts stop working, like Windows key + L to lock my session or ctrl + alt + del or windows key + r. The only way that these would work is if I rebooted my PC. Even if the program I installed didn’t need a reboot these key shortcuts would stop working unless I rebooted.

Thank you! I was hoping you’d address this. I have actually been sending feedback, but I’ll use the desktop icon. That link is just in a bad place.

Other than sound drivers everything has been great with win7. One thing I picked up from your site in the past is the “search the internet” feature in the start menu. I have yet to test that out in win7, but I wish there were a way to make “search the internet” the default behavior.

Please don’t waste your and our time with articles like this one. It’s a beta. Why waste time removing links that are actually good for reporting issues quickly? It won’t be in the final release so why bother?

On a similar note:
Rocky6190 – I would report it even if you don’t know what is causing it. It’s Microsoft’s job to figure out what is causing it and they can’t do it if they don’t know it’s happening.
